No one expected that it would happen until it did. Earth was dying. We, the few who survived the disease, were all contained in cells with artificial light and oxygen and food in the form of pills. So when help came in the form of C'Riel, an alien race that lived in a planet called Xe'Krein, many people found hope. But I was wary. Why would the C'Riel help us? How did we benefit them? What I didn't expect to happen was meeting him. The fire-eyed alien. My alien. Two best friends: one a science/history geek, and the other a daredevil who is always down for any challenge or new adventures. Together the pair travel on an expedition with a small military escort, other science nerds, and other miscellaneous sorts. Their mission for their boss with deep pockets? To explore an ancient, abandoned planet for potential human colonization.
