In the wake of their last adventure in the Netherworld, Thor and Dean have ventured to Alfheim, the realm of the light elves. Here, they have sought comfort and peace. But this proves to be an elusive goal, for there are much darker schemes awaiting them when Gorr, the God Butcher makes his appearance. Hellbent on avenging himself by spilling the blood of the gods themselves, Gorr proves to be a formidable adversary to Thor and Dean.

Having recently confronted the reality of their relationship, Thor and Dean opt to forge ahead, leaving the concerns of immortality for another day. Despite the doubts he has about the future Odin has plotted for him, Thor departs to carry out his mission to bring peace to the realms and become King of Asgard. But when Dean comes into contact with an ancient, powerful force- an interaction that would kill an ordinary mortal- questions begin to rise about Dean's mortality. Thor brings him to Asgard with the hope that his people will be able to help. With Odin urging Thor to leave the mortal behind and an evil older than the universe perched to destroy all, Thor is forced to take great risk to save the realms and his love. This is a retelling of Thor: The Dark World. If it looks familiar it is not mine. It is not intended to be a mirror image of the film. Several liberties are taken, especially in regard to Thor's sexuality. This story, like the others in the series, heavily features homosexuality and all of its trappings. If that isn't something you want to see, don't read. If it looks familiar then I don't own it.

When several of the Avengers venture into the Netherworld to rescue Thor and Lumen's sons, Bucky stays behind and maintains surveillance at Avengers HQ. But his quiet vigil is interrupted by a message. The sender is Yelena Belova- Natasha Romanov's younger sister and fellow graduate of the Red Room. Nikolai Baranov- the only male student of the Red Room- is a fugitive on the run after committing a series of assassinations. Suspicious that Nikolai is under the influence of the same mind-altering compound she and Natasha contended with some years ago, Yelena implores Bucky to help find Nikolai, liberate his mind, and clear his name. But they aren't the only people searching for Nikolai. The Winter Guard- Russia's very own government-sanctioned team- is hunting him as well. But their intentions are very different- they have orders to kill him without hesitation. Further complicating the situation is the chance of sparking an international incident should the involvement of an Avenger be uncovered. Right at home in covert operations, Bucky accepts the offer as just another routine mission. But when he crosses paths with the deadly assassin, his need to free the young man from the prison of his mind becomes personal. Because, if anyone understands the agony of being controlled, it's Bucky.

While on a routine outer space mission, the Squadron Supreme receives a distress signal from earth warning them that the planet is falling prey to what appears to be an incursion. Faced with the possibility of being completely unmade, one of the heroes opens an inter-dimensional gateway and plunges the team through it. This rescues the Squadron from their universe's fate and delivers them to a new universe. Here they soon learn that they now exist in the same universe as those responsible for the incursion that destroyed their universe. Spurred by the deadly results of the Scarlet Witch's multiversal actions, the Squadron has one objective on their minds: repairing the damage. By any means necessary. This is an original story within my Avengers universe that serves to introduce the Squadron Supreme and set up future events. My depiction of the Squadron Supreme will be taking several liberties so that they fit within the world I've built. Please note that this is an installment in an ongoing series. The unthinkable has happened. The Avengers lost. Thanos used the Infinity Stones to bring the balance he felt was needed to the universe, resulting in the death of half of the universe's population. Fractured, the surviving Avengers struggle together and alone to pick up the pieces of their lives. Unable to accept that this is the reality of their lives, they have come together, one more time, with the hope of correcting a failure that has haunted them for five long years. TRIGGER WARNING- This work will feature suicidal ideation. Please read with caution if this is a sensitive subject. My hope is not to exploit mental illness in any way.
