Ansa isn't what you'd call a popular girl, but she isn't exactly quiet either. She's the girl who sits kind of in the middle of the classroom, occasionally answers questions, and knows mostly everyone, but that's where it ends. No extracurriculars, no above average grades. Being seventeen and with her life put together, she can't wait for college and work beyond... once she figures out what she wants to be. But she has a year, so she can do that later. At least, she thinks so, until she winds up blackmailed into signing her life away. Under the threat of everyone she loves dying out, Ansa agrees to spend a year in a padded white room completely alone. She's promised all her basic necessities, like food, water, a bathroom... but that's it. No human contact, no outlet to the outside world, nothing. All she has is a stuffed gray elephant plush, a recorder, and a ridiculously uncomfortable red chair that has one leg shorter than the rest. And unknown to her, the world panics in a search to find the missing girl. Can Ansa survive the solitude or escape? Or will the claustrophobia win her over? 88 READS??? What the heck??? HOW did that happen. It is NOT that good guys 😅
