Racetrack Higgins, a Manhattan Newsie. Spot Conlon's best friend and crush, not that they would admit that they have crushes on each other. No one knows about Racetrack's past, and not many people bothered to ask, until he started babying scars. He refused to tell them, but when Spot, then Race himself, gets kidnapped one day, how will they find and save Race and Spot? He'd be forced to tell them his past. What if ... they were lovers? It's not easy for either of them. Come on, who wants to be selling newspapers with their ex? But then the prices rise, and everything changes. And now with the strike, they'll have to reevaluate everything: how they used to be, what went wrong ... and how they feel for each other now.
