This is a post game AU of Danganronpa's third main game, DanganronpaV3 Killing Harmony. In this AU the characters were in a virtual world, which means the characters don't actually die, when they die in the game. This story mostly surrounds around the growing relationship between Shuichi Saihara, the former ultimate detective and the former supreme leader, Kokichi Ouma. Shuichi woke up in a hospital room confused and dazed, only to find out that all his friends had survived the killing game, thanks to Team Danganronpa's futuristic technology. He's ready to go back home to piece together who he was before he lost his memories, but when he gets returns home he finds that his past self had an unlikely roommate. Or: Everybody lives and when Shuichi goes back home he is met with none other than Kokichi Ouma. Falling in love ensues. Despite his young age, he has solved many difficult cases and now has been put to solve a case of a Phantom Thief. Little does he know, that the Phantom thief was his childhood best friend. Even though deep in his heart, Shuichi has always wanted to be more than just friends...

Since the killing game, Shuichi Saihara, Himiko Yumeno, and finally, Maki Harukawa, have been leading normal lives. Maki in particular, teaching a preschool class. One day, she tells a story about herself to her students...

The last thing Kokichi remembers was the searing agony of the press slowly descending upon his body, sealing his fate and eventually killing him. He had died a painful and slow death, he remembers. But he was supposed to be dead, so why was he able to remember in the first place? The 53rd season of Danganronpa had been a massive success. One of the most well received seasons, with a huge fan following. Unfortunately for the participants, they were not aware of it having been a virtual reality simulation. Kokichi was awake. Awake, but more importantly, alive. He does not want to have to make amends with his 'classmates'; he had been ready to die under that press to stop the killing game. This is usally gonna have either kokichis or shuichis pov. Im not confortable with sexualizing these minors. This is as canon that I could get it so :) short summary: shuichi wakes up in a hospital bed to find out everyone is alive. He finds kokichi acting a little strange. He tries to investigate, but he finds the most shocking news, and their feelings for eachother grow.

This is a postgame fanfic where Danganronpa was just a simulation. Their personalities remain the same, as from in the game, since they don't remember who they used to be. They have to accept everything they did, and face those they did wrong. For Kokichi, he had to face everyone. No one trusted him, and so he needed to figure out a way to prove himself. A way to prove he wasn't a bad person.

The killing game wasn't real. It was just a digital game. Though, the people, who played the game, is real. Even so, their true selfs are shown, while they are sorting out their relationships.
