His friends drag him to a party where a reckless decision was made. Two years later George is alone in his apartment with nothing but the sound of the heater and his sleeping two year old on his chest. He hasn't spoken to his friends since he left the states all those years ago, terrified of what they might say. What they might think. George knows the text will come, its his decision on what to do about it he needs to think through. Happy 25th birthday to himself, he thinks.

He'd known George was small, he was very open about the fact in his teases and chides, but he'd never fully let himself understand their proportions, as the ocean between them was not moving any time soon, so it didn't seem to matter.
