Peter Parker is a foster kid, has been since he was 4 years old. Had a tough life. Tougher than it should've been. Doesn't believe in happy endings. Tony Stark has had a hard couple months. Lonely and struggling to cope with his own mind, decides he needs someone to ground him. Doesn't think he deserves a happy ending.
