Arthur finds out about Merlin's destiny but not everything was clear

Merlin's insistence on following Arthur and the knights to battles had not gone unnoticed by people. Why would this defenseless, weaponless servant be present in dangerous and life-threatening battles? Gwaine, along with Morgana and Gwen, took matters to their own hands. Or, In which Merlin learned to fight with a sword and let us pray for poor Arthur because if he thought Lancelot was hot when he demonstrated his sword skills, he wouldn't be prepared when a BAMF, sword-wielding Merlin hit him with the force of a thousand butterflies.

His destiny could be considered for once a burden. His own powers are wearing him down.

A Merthur fic set in canon era. After two years of putting up with his useless excuse for a manservant, Arthur begins to suspect that there may be more to Merlin than meets the eye. But Merlin's not the only one with a secret. And maybe destinies aren't always as they seem. AU where I use elements of all five seasons in a way that does not always comply with canon. WARNING: Contains: (some) violence, mentions of blood, and a lot of gayness (duh)

Arthur takes a deep, preparing for what he expects will be a very good speech; Merlin has gotten good at those recently. He does not expect what Merlin says next. "I have magic." An AU where Merlin reveals his magic to Arthur at the end of 3X13.

Merlin had never been handed the luxury of anything in life. Maybe his distant family would send gifts when they thought fit, but he had never landed himself in a place of riches nor simple comfortability. That style of living didn't make any change upon the subject of his classification. He had been sent off to Camelot as soon as he was of age. He can't pretend he doesn't have a pretty damn good idea as to what his class is, though. Not that he finds it favourable either; he just wants to be normal, after all. Maybe he'll be able to do that with Arthur's help. Or maybe things get a little more complicated when he's involved.

What the title says... No smut... unless people request it.
