From Boots to Baseball: DCC Alum Becomes MLB's Leading Lady
Soledad Rosales, a 9½-year veteran of the iconic Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, is rewriting her playbook-and this time, it's on the baseball field. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Soledad made her stunning DCC debut in 2016, fresh out of high school. At the time, social media hadn't yet exploded, but by 2019, when she turned 21, her star began to rise as the squad gained global attention-earning fans from elite athletes to celebrities and even landing their own Netflix series.
Soledad quickly became a fan favorite. But behind the bright lights and stadium roar, she began to feel a shift. By Season 2 of the DCC Netflix docuseries, Soledad took a step back and reflected. "I realized I wasn't truly happy anymore," she admitted. While DCC opened doors for her education and helped her earn degrees, balancing life as a cheerleader and a full-time physical therapist and head athletic trainer for a national soccer team left her emotionally drained.
Despite the glitz, her journey wasn't without heartbreak. She lost friends-and even some relatives-who accused her of being too young, saying the sport was exploiting her. Still, Soledad's immediate family never gave up on her. Their support fueled her next chapter, and today, she steps into a groundbreaking new role: becoming MLB's first lady-not just by marriage, but by merit, bringing her experience, intelligence, and quiet resilience into the world of professional baseball.
