Azuki Shizumi has never really felt any sort of positive emotion for most of her life, or at least she doesn't remember feeling anything of the sort. For the most part, all she can really feel is boredom, sorrow, emptiness, and spite. When Azuki was only 5 years old her mother and father were murdered at the hands of a serial killer named Westley Hart. She thought that because of the misfortune that comes with her inherited ability to turn into a crow was the cause of her parents' deaths, so she chose to live most of her life alone in the dark sewers of whale island years after fearing that her bad luck would rub off on others. This has made it hard for Azuki to form any sort of positive relationships and lead her to become a shut in. Because she didn't have any money and was too young to get a job, she became a master at the pickpocket technique and stealing from the market area. However, her life would soon turn around when she learns about the hunter exams and decides to join. While most people have some type of motivation to join, Azuki only wants to do something besides live in the sewers. What will happen when she meets gon and the gang?
