George is... different. He'd known that from a young age, when that girl had died exactly like he said she would. His mother had known it too, and traded him away to the king in exchange for a life of comfort. They called him a clairvoyant; in his dreams, he could see the future. What they failed to acknowledge - or simply ignored - was that it was never even close to being perfect. But even so, it was good enough to start a war. He didn't think much of those two light soldiers, the one with the sunny hair or that other with contrasting dark, his white headband peeking out from beneath his bangs. At least, not until he began to realize that they knew the answers to his questions. Why he can see things in his dreams. Why he woke up two years in the past. And maybe most importantly, why the war that raged around them held much more meaning than he could have ever known. *** ' It certainly hadn't felt like he misspoke, but George knew better than to push him for an answer. So instead, he asked a different question. "Are people already upset at you?" Dream smiled sadly. "I messed up quite badly before I met you. Angered a lot of very important people too. It's probably best for both of us if I didn't go into it." "But you're only fifteen. How old could you have possibly been when you made someone so infuriated with you? Whatever you did, I'm sure you didn't mean it." The light-haired knight lowered his gaze to the ground, that melancholy smile of his growing wider still. "But I did." It Happened too fast. One day it was there the next it wasn't. The Mist was gone. The Humans, or muggles, or mortals, or whatever you call them, rebelled against the thought of anything beyond average. They locked them up. They wiped their memories. They tried to kill them. There is only one safe place for them. It is hidden, with the last of the survivors from the super mutants, to the wizards, to the demigods, to normal people trying help. They will not be hunted to extinction. Do you have what it takes to be a survivor? CAUTION: I LITERALLY SPENT THIS ENTIRE STORY KILLING ALL THE CHARACTERS. I DON'T OWN ANY CHARACTER BUT JESSICA (so far) AND THE PLOT. THE REST GO TO RICK RIORDAN And JK ROWLING
