His parents frequently disappeared, saying they had work to do. They never explained the work, but Sonic figured because it was probably boring. After being encountered by not so friendly, unexplainable creatures, he then met Shadow, a male with a past and occupation that he refused to say. The two get off at a rough start, but Shadow is determined to get the boy to understand the mess he is in. To try and understand what he is. But what is Sonic? Is he just a normal, young hedgehog living an easy life, or is there more than it seems? More that what even Sonic realizes? I felt my breath catch in my throat as the mists finally released the figure from its clutches, a tall toned hedgehog wearing a long deep maroon velvet waistcoat with decorative gold trimming, walked into view. His silk black lace-up shirt contrasted against his soft white chest fur that peeked out the top of the v-neck. Underneath his clothes I could tell his fur was black as coal and yet, red stripes seemed to break up the darkness, highlighting his features. "Captain," called a black and white tiger-ess leaning against the starbout side. "Report" "We're going to feast tonight Captain, got some nice grub, teas, spices and a few silks," she said licking her lips "and the Captain's quarters has got some lovely furniture " The Captian grunted in acknowledgement before turning away from us. Kill'em and take the goods or anything that catches your eye" "Wait,"my uncle's voice cut through the air before I could voice my own"Kill me if you want, just release my crew" The Captain didn't even pause as he claimed back up the quarter deck steps. Sonic spotted Shadow outside of the village one day. Curious, he decided to follow him to see what is up with the dark hedgehog. After finding out the reason why Shadow likes being alone in that one particular cave, he decided to stick around and company him. It makes Sonic realize that Shadow isn't really that evil and it also makes him grow closer to the dark hedgehog. SFW book.

Shadow must embark on a mission, but Rouge isn't here with him this time, so he's forced to take Sonic instead. They hate each other, down to the very guts, but as the mission continues and they become lost in the wilderness, they must work together to survive the deadly harshness of the rainforest and the mysterious creature following them. I decided to start posting the chapters on wattpad as well for the readers that I have here and also because it seems Sonadow is pretty popular on here as well.

Sonic and the gang visit one of the biggest and most ancient caves in all of Mobius for a Summer activity. What started off as a harmless, self-guided tour, soon became a danger to their lives. The gang becomes split up, as the roof begins to cave in. They must go on a journey to find each other again and find their way out, without cell phone reception, or a map. When Sonic and Shadow get stuck together, they may find that they work better together than they thought, perhaps in more than one way.
