Most people run away to New York to chase their dreams, live out some fictional Sex & the City fantasy, and experience life in the big city that never sleeps.
Sloane, however, was running away from New York as fast as an Amtrak train from Penn Station would take her. Leaving (escaping, really) a seven-year-long relationship with an overgrown manchild had her ready to be anywhere but the Big Apple.
Pittsburgh wasn't exactly her first choice. After all, it's a step down from Philly, and a rather steep one at that for a born-and-bred New Yorker.
But beggars can't be choosers. And as soon as Sloane walks into Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center as the hospital's new public relations manager, she realizes that she's completely out of her depth.
No one likes her, especially not Dr. Jack Abbot, who thinks she's too confident, loud, and a little evil (pretty). Why does the Pitt need a publicist anyway?
But Sloane won't give up. She's not going back to New York, and she's determined to make friends.
Even with that grumpy night shift doctor who hates her.
Him, most of all.
