*** CURRENTLY UNDER CONSTANT REVISION AND EDITING! UPDATING WHENEVER POSSIBLE *** **Previous called "Post Apocalyptic Love (Daryl Dixon Fanfiction** *yes, there is smut. since its a daryl dixon fanfic, it only seemed fitting. i will put a warning in the chapter that have it, so if you are uncomfortable with reading smut, skip that part. this is all my first time writing this kinda stuff so take it easy on me. thanks!* ~~ The book is separated by each season of TWD, so if you have a favorite season you can chose to read Kelley's story from there ~~ A virus broke out across the globe, reanimating the dead and creating mass chaos. In a matter of days, half of the world's population was either dead or turned. The government collapsed, TV and radio stations shut down, and everyone was left to fend for themselves. Kelley lost everything in the beginning. Her family, her house, even her small hometown in the state of Georgia. So she decided to leash up her dog, a Belgian Malinois named Bud, gather some supplies, and head towards Atlanta. She encounters a small group along the way. Survivors just like her, with stories and losses of their own. She soon becomes close to them, feeling like she has found another family, and she will do anything to protect them. This is a story of lost, love, survival, and surprises. The world doesn't care that you are alone, doesn't care if you're hungry, and doesn't care that death lurks around every corner. The undead feed on the living and the living can't be trusted. As the days pass and the world she knew was gone, she keeps a record of everything that has happened since first night. In a world where previous history is long forgotten, Kelley believes it is necessary to write down her journey and keep track of all things apocalyptic, so that maybe one day it will help others learn how to survive... and not make the same mistakes she has. So, let's start at the beginning.

Daryl Dixon has faced a lot since the world changed and this has resulted in even greater change in his own life. Once a reckless and volatile man, he has now become a respected and productive member of Alexandria. Most importantly, he has become a loved member of a family drawn together by hardship. When a beautiful new doctor arrives in Alexandria, will he be able to leave his past completely behind and trust that he is worthy of love? "I like playing these awkward moments in between that build relationships. I don't ever want to play that character that grabs the girl and has my way with her. That's just not who that character is. If Daryl falls in love with you, he's going to love you for the rest of his life." Norman Reedus Hey Reedus Readers, This is my first attempt at fan fiction, and I hope y'all enjoy reading it as much as I'm enjoying writing it. It is based primarily on the storyline from AMC's The Walking Dead, and uses the characters and relationships from the show. It begins just before the first battle with the Saviors (the end of season 7 of the show), and assumes the storyline follows Robert Kirkman's comic going forward. If you are not a reader of the comic, there may be some Season 8 spoilers here if the show follows the book closely. Mature content All AMC The Walking Dead characters and storylines belong to AMC, and my fictional characters and any changes in storyline belong to me.

Alexandria was supposed to be safe. High walls, quiet streets, and people pretending the world hadn't completely fallen apart. She had learned how to survive there long ago, spending her days patrolling with her bow and keeping enough distance to never get too attached to anyone. Until the gates opened. Rick Grimes' group arrived covered in dirt, blood, and distrust, but among all of them, there was one person she couldn't stop looking at: a quiet man with tired eyes and a crossbow hanging from his shoulder. Daryl Dixon looked like he didn't belong in Alexandria. Maybe that was exactly why she was drawn to him. Between late-night runs, restless silences, survival, and a world that never stops taking, the two of them slowly realize that surviving becomes a lot harder once someone finally manages to get under your skin. This story has connections to the show, I recommend watching it. Season 5 forward.
