The tale of two mechs on Cybertron before the Great War, one born in Iacon and the other thrown into the pits of Kaon as a sparkling. People like them were never supposed to meet, much less become best friends... so it makes sense that they were destined to become doomed lovers. Even before the great war, these two had plenty of dangerous problems to worry about as they worked to decipher Cybertron's past and gain support so they could speak to the council. Cybertron's elite will stop at nothing to stop the truth of their crimes from coming out and Cybertron's criminal underworld will stop at nothing to get the equality they have waited so long for. The Autobots find a mysterious rock that causes their Groundbridge to change, half of the team is forced through and end up in Ninjago. Meanwhile, the remainder of the team is stuck in Crown City as the Groundbridge has blown up, and they don't have the means to fix it. Both halves of the team must work to bring their missing friends back home, and must defeat a dangerous foe in the process. Will they make it out alive?
