Sabre had hidden in his bunker for years after the 'Sun Fall', a world ending event caused by sun flares scorching the earth. After an attack from mutated and infected abominations, what he called shadows, on his bunker- leaving it destroyed- Sabre now has to traverse the wastelands and find a way to restore this scorched planet to its original glory.
