It's him!" they shrieked in utter amazement as they ripped at his hair and his clothes.... The year is 1964, and The Beatles have made it big...maybe a little too big, for, everywhere they go, they're ambushed by fan girls. Usually, the lads from Liverpool are quicker than the crowd, but, one day, the fans happen to grab a hold of none other than The Beatles' bassist, Paul McCartney, effectively beating his body and mind to a pulp. This angst/hurt comfort story tells the tale of Paul McCartney, who has been scarred by the brutality of his attack, and his three friends, John Lennon, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr, who are trying their best to help Paul and his paranoid state of mind. Will the three friends help Paul? Or will they only make his situation worse? If so, will Paul go so far as to quit being a Beatle? Read "I'll Cry Instead" to find out! I know there's quite a few of these types of stories, but I wanted to write my own version...and imagine what it would be like to get to hang out with a young Paul McCartney in London, haha. And really, all John wants to do is to, somehow, get that Paul-boy alone so that the two of them can become... closer. This has proven itself to be a difficult challenge as George, Paul's best mate, is inseparable from Paul. Nearly attached at his hip. Not only that, but other problems arise seemingly out of thin air. Will John be able to talk to the boy and find similar interests between them?
