JolRECASENS
Aria has never been a model student. And as a magician, she's even worse. Diagnosed with dysmagic and Magical Attention Deficit Disorder (MADD), she turns every spell into a complete disaster. While her classmates manage to cast spells with grace, Aria only manages to set her hair on fire and cause accidental explosions. In a world where magic is a precise and controlled art, Aria feels completely out of place. Between the insensitive advice of Gertrude Froissac, the school psychologist, and the endless sessions with Martha Ressass, the repetitive orthomage, Aria begins to doubt her place in this magical world that seems to reject her. Thankfully, she's not alone. She can count on Mnemos, a hypermnemonic aspellger who masters runes but struggles to understand human emotions, and Lira, a theurgic magician who perceives magic as a divine melody. Together, they form an unlikely trio, bonded by their differences. But when mysterious magical forces begin to disrupt the school, Aria realizes that her uncontrollable magic might just be the key to solving a much bigger problem. Perhaps magic doesn't always work the way it's supposed to. And perhaps Aria might discover that she has more to offer than her fiery failures.
