1983/1987 ~ Stevie is a twenty-five year old building manager, college student and as she is reaching for her goals, she finds herself infatuated by the carefree guitarist, Lindsey Buckingham.

Stevie is a "single" mother raising her two kids alongside her mother. When the father (Lindsey) returns, he'll stop at nothing to make things right with everybody while he wiggles through his own personal struggles. (A/U: '90s). A/N: I always picture them as The Dance or Say You Will, but am always altering their ages. I'd say about mid to late thirties in this story.

It's 1983 and there is not a dull moment for Stevie Nicks. She is preparing for her Wild Heart tour, still grieving the loss of her best friend Robin, embroiled in a divorce from Robin's widower, Kim Anderson, and mourning the loss of her chance at motherhood with Kim having taken baby Matthew home. Her cocaine habit, which has become her only coping mechanism by now, has become a full-blown addiction. The last thing Stevie needs in her life is a stalker who threatens her safety and even her life. The last thing she needs is to go on with the tour and begin a relationship with Joe Walsh. But the first thing she needs is a good dose of reality, of safety, of love, of a reminder of the old days, and person to step in and remind her of who she is, what she needs, and to save her from the danger lurking around the corner. What she needs is Lindsey Buckingham, and that's exactly what she gets.

So this is my first fanfic.... and no one gave me any ideas for it but it was requested that it should be long. I'll do my best the first time around. This is written as if Lindsey never met Stevie. Lindsey is dating Carol Ann Harris. Stevie has just joined Fleetwood Mac because of Mick's eye for beauty. Mick enjoys Stevie's presence in the studio, but what will happen when Lindsey sees this new girl in the band?
