After the war everything is finally going back to normal when a new batch of teens go into the choosing ceremony. The next generation - a whole new problem.

After Tris has been shot by David and is slowly dying Caleb finds her and brings her to hospital. They find out that she is pregnant and with the medicines and technology the erudite invented, they are able to deliver the baby. Tobias comes and witnesses the quick birth and they welcome their daughter. Tris in a critical condition dies minutes later. Fifteen years later Natalie and her father are living a happy life until she starts to wonder about her mother. She asks questions but it's to hard for Tobias to answer so Natalie takes matters into her own hands and goes on a search for answers.
