My YA novel Phantom's Dance is a modern retelling of Phantom of the Opera. These short pieces are "extras" that I decided to write from my protag's point-of-view. So this is Erik, the horribly disfigured Phantom, falling in love with the girl he can never have, the talented ballerina Christine Dadey.
