Some fanfiction stories that I've read about these two is that Mikey looks up to Raph like a hero, Raph's always there to comfort Mikey whenever he feels scared or sad despite his tough behaviour, and that they're best friends. Plus, they're always there for each other, not to mention that they've always got each other's backs.
