Candace Trumen (Mostly called Tru) has spent her whole life living in Tulsa, Oklahoma. When her mom died of cancer, and her father turns to alcohol for answers, Tru's 7 friends are there to help her along the way, ultimately leading her to the love of her life. This is a coming of age story. It shows character development, the difficulty of scars, past trauma, and a lot more, but touched a bit lighter. I absolutely HATE those fanfics that make Johnny's whole personality an innocent bean, or make Steve nothing but a car guy.
