Shuichi woke up in a hospital room confused and dazed, only to find out that all his friends had survived the killing game, thanks to Team Danganronpa's futuristic technology. He's ready to go back home to piece together who he was before he lost his memories, but when he gets returns home he finds that his past self had an unlikely roommate. Or: Everybody lives and when Shuichi goes back home he is met with none other than Kokichi Ouma. Falling in love ensues. (So this is probably going to be like most of the other motive stories, and the book cover art isn't mine!) After a couple of days, Monokuma got upset over the fact no murders had occurred yet. He needed a new motive and the perfect motive popped into his mind once Kokichi had no energy to get to his room. Kokichi had fainted outside, which made him the next victim.

~•°Post Game AU°•~ (MAJOR SPOILERS!) The setting takes place after the same. It turns out the game was in virtual reality. None of the deaths actually happened, no one actually died. Everyone gasped in relief from waking up. However, they all wake up to an unfamiliar place. The hospital. Hopes Peak Hospital fostered all 16 students. Recovering them all to live a normal life after the game. But there no way to go normal after all that trauma. One by one, the students are able to recover, but to never forget. Kokichi is one of the few who can fully recover. He himself brought it upon them. After waking up, he tries to regain the trust and friendship of his peers. Shuichi wakes up, meeting up with every one of his peers. Every single one except a small purple hair fella, Kokichi Ouma. Why is Ouma hiding from him? Why is he going out of his way to regain everyone but Shuichi? What's the truth? This is what Shuichi will find out. And eventually, he will find the difference between Kokichi's lies and truth.
