Hanahaki is an illness caused by one-sided love. The victim has very strong feelings for a certain person, yet that person is unaware or unable to return those feelings. When this happens, the victim starts coughing petals of any kind of flower. This can and will cause death, if not treated. Shigaraki Tomura has no idea what to do.

Neither of their lives have been a walk in the park. They both lost their family. They both want to forget everything about their childhood, and they choose to do it the same way. How can two people with similar pasts, and the similar issues still act so different?
