Voici ma propre version de la suite de la série après le final de la saison 4 avec le départ de Stef', celui-ci part vraiment cette fois, mais assiste en avant-première au retour d'une ancienne connaissance. Pendant ce temps-là, Elena & Damon profitent du peu de bonheur qu'on leur donne, puisqu'elle meurt et revient en tant que vampire. Caroline, "soeur" de Stef' & Damon, toujours aussi agaçante, tente de cacher ses sentiments pour Stefan. Elle déteste profondément Elena qui a causé pleins de problèmes dans sa famille d'adoption. On découvre que Klaus, toujours en ville avec Rebekah, est dans une relation sérieuse avec une certaine Thalia, assez énigmatique et mystérieuse. Ce couple mordant a déjà des projets plein la tête, quelques-uns avec du sang.
