Even they piss her off sometimes. But when this god-awful "Luz" girl sneaks into her life, she doesn't know how to feel about her.

Ever since the Noceda children were little, they've always had problems. Luz was bullied as a child and even in her pre-teen years. The girl didn't know how to defend herself, so she had to rely on her older sister Lucia. People always thought the pair were weird and Lucia was not having it. One day their mother Camila showed them something. It was a place that no one had ever seen before. A place where Luz could be her usual self... a place called the 'Boiling Isles'. Lucia was pissed, she didn't want to go there but in order to keep her sister safe and grow up the way she wanted to... it was her only choice. The duo would be safe there. In a world of witches, titans, and demons, two humans were exploring the magical place. Little did the two sisters know... they would be in more of a struggle than they thought. This story is inspired by the song "For the First Time" by Mac Demarco. Four years had passed since the death of Manny Noceda. Their mom, Camila, was struggling to get by, never home and constantly in and out of the hospital taking up shifts, the youngest daughter, Luz, was barely ever able to keep out of trouble at school and struggled to fit in, and the oldest, Lucía, was in constant arguments with her mom until she finally packed up all of her things in the night and ran away from home six months ago. The only thing left behind was a letter with the words "I'm making this house worse and worse" written in it. Now, Luz attending a "Reality Check Summer Camp" was supposed to make everything better, everything normal. But after running off that bus to camp to chase after her one prized possession, her Good Witch Azura book, one thing led to another and now she had ended up in some old, isolated, and hidden town named the "Boiling Isles." Everything had changed since the death of their papá. Balancing guilt, trying to conform, broken relationships, and more, it felt impossible. There were lies, secrets, and entire lives hidden from one another, and it was only a matter of time before something or someone finally unraveled it all. "I'll never be good enough for you," she said.

Amity Blight is taken on a family vacation with her parents and twin siblings into the human realm. But her plans of a peaceful break have gone crashing down when she meets a human girl her age while exploring around the area. This won't be a tough love story where they can't be with each other because their parents forbid it or something like that. One will simply not reciprocate the others feelings.

Luz was living her dream at the boiling isles, she was a witch in training and had a couple of friends who she cared about and they did the same to her. However, once the duration of the " Summer Camp " Luz' Mother told her to go to is about to come to an end, all of a sudden her human problems leak into a human less world, but how will everyone take Luz' news?
