I'm writing another Billy fanfiction but all these different ideas keep coming to my head all very different directions than what I want the book to go in, so to showcase these ideas and hopefully you all think they're as good as I do.

You've been Steve's very good friend for a while, but started to talk a lot less outside of basketball when he had those really bad friends. Nancy was one of the only kind people Steve knew at the time. Well not that you had met all of his other friends- well.. More like "babies". He had always talked about being the babysitter and it was a bit funny to listen to his rants. But you could tell that he genuinely cared for them. Then there was a talk about a new student... Billy Hargrove was the name.

By some stroke of luck and the work of quick doctors, Billy Hargrove survives the attack of the Mind Flayer. He wakes up months later, after going through a number of surgeries due to the chunk the creature had taken out of him, wishing he died. He is then kept within a facility, under the watchful eye of scientists, to determine whether the creature still resides within him or not. It can't possibly get any worse than this... Until Steve Harrington offers to come along. Not because he wants to spend time with the guy, no, but because he can't stand seeing Max worried about how they would treat him. He figures his parents won't miss him anyway and the procedure will only take a few weeks. What could go wrong? They end up being roommates for a little while. With Billy being even colder than usual and Steve being all the more annoying, spurred on by Billy's attitude, how will they ever pass the time and survive through each other's company?
