Esmeralda is a quiet timid child who does what she is told but still likes to try and have fun. She is best friends with the little blonde bookworm named armin and loves to listen to his stories of what lies beyond the walls. Because of her nature, she is unable to properly defend herself. Armin sees this and despite being afraid, goes to great lengths to make sure she is safe. How will he be able to maintain the role of her protector when she ends up joining the survey corps with him.
