Dick Grayson's life has never been easy, but he'd like to think it's been going better lately. He's been operating mainly out of Gotham again for almost a year, and has been in a steady relationship for just over. He knows where he stands with crime-fighting, and the family is all on pretty good terms, considering. Things are really going pretty well. Unfortunately, the balance doesn't last long, and old horrors from Dick's past end up dredged up alongside new ones. This is a story about love and family, but equally so about trauma and healing from it. Deathstroke didn't have to. He really didn't have to. Finding a small black haired and blue eyed boy on the grimy streets of Gotham was never part of the plan. Taking him wasn't either. Raising him was out of the question. But here he was, Deathstroke the Terminator, raising a wisecracking apprentice who could simultaneously make the mercenary proud and get on his every nerve. Deathstroke trained the boy, trained him well. But something made him hesitate, something like fear. Deathstroke would never admit it, never out loud anyway, but in all his years of killing and living up to his name... he didn't want to lose that boy. Overprotective was never in Deathstrokes vocabulary, but this boy was different, he could work wonders. At the same time, Dick Grayson is a student at Gotham University, struggling to find a balance between hero life and a regular life, trying to discern if there could even be a balance, or if he wants one. Then he meets a girl. A beautiful, smart, girl, full of life and laughter that makes Dick second guess his choices and the direction his life is on. Others sat in silence, utterly defeated from the half day they had spent in that room with Talon and the utter fear he had made them feel when he hunted them all down. A hunter and its prey. They had been put closer together now as well, Talon had deemed that they could talk but they were still separated enough that none was within reaching distance of the other. But they didn't want to talk. Some of them wished it would end already, like M'gann. Some were struggling to keep up their sass, like Artemis. And some were trying to stay in control, not to let their emotions get the better of them because that's the boy they raised doing this god-forsaken things to them. But the control would not last. Everyone knew that at some point the Batman was going to break. And he was going to break the hardest. So they sat there, chained and restrained in their chairs, wearily watching him as silent tears fell to the floor and mixed in with the red of their fallen friends. Jason had been walking for nearly twenty-four hours and his hopes for finding anyone in the cave alive were dwindling with each second. But he had gone and done the noble thing, he had gotten help. Maybe the three of them could stand a chance at beating Talon, maybe they wouldn't. But they had to try, it was the right thing to do. So the trio headed to the cave, not stopping to rest for the night because they could feel the danger in the air, they could tell that this strange boy that had turned up on their doorstep was telling the truth. A truth that could destroy America for good.

The Justice League thinks that Batman organized the Flying Grayson's death and is blackmailing Dick with the circus's safety in order to make him his sidekick.

Reverse Bat Family book. Dick is very young in this book, he comes into the Wayne family not knowing the family's secret activities that lay right under his bed-the batcave. Dick is mute ever since he witnessed the death of his parents. He has anxiety and panic attacks with also having dyslexia and being claustrophobic. His new family faces challenges with their new addition to the family especially when he discovers who they are underneath the mask heroes of Gotham City. -possible young justice and maybe Birdflash-

Dick Grayson is not the easiest person to be around, but Cassie is the only person in the entire world who has been there for every single part of his life. All the good and all the bad. All the Dick, all the Robin, and all the Nightwing. So to put it into simple words the two ex-circus kids were best friends, but of course, nothing is ever that simple in their line of work.
