Emma's mom has abused her for about 4 years now, one day she does the unthinkable which leaves Emma in a coma. Waking up from the coma Emma meets the Sheriff's Deputy Rick Grimes, which it wouldn't be a big deal if it weren't the apocalypse. Rick helps guide Emma back to a camp of people who unexpectedly become Emma's family. She meets her dad for the first time. She has no clue what happened to her mom. In a twisted way Emma's life is just better in the apocalypse. **I just want to warn everyone, this is my first story, and I'd like to say it progressively gets better.
