If you're judging this book by its cover and title, you're already proving the point this story wants to make. Try to move past this satirical obstacle in front of you. This is a story about bullying, and like the hundreds of other books on the topic, it will show you the harsh reality of being discriminated, belittled, ridiculed for something you cannot control- how you look, who you love, or what you believe in. But unlike these books, this story's sole purpose is not to tear your heart out of your chest as you mourn over your loss of faith in humanity. Instead, this book will make you laugh and love alongside these characters. Just like in life, there will be moments of dread and surrender, but there will also be moments of happiness, laughter, and love. - Naomi Lorraine, better known as Nerdy Naomi with her thick-rimmed glasses and straight-A report card, is the most unpopular girl in her school. Even with the help of her sarcastic comebacks, that doesn't stop her from getting bullied by everyone in Dartwell High. Every day her childhood bully, Raymond Meyers, knocks her off her feet, literally. However, she can't do anything but survive the laughs, insults, and bruises high school gives her. There are three senior transfer students, dubbed the Three Musketeers: Bennett Frazier, Jordan Wallace, and Declan Lynch. All in one day, Naomi catches their attention one by one. With her snarky attitude, but innocent look, they can't help but want her. But not the way you're thinking. Oh no, not like that. Instead, it's probably the whole opposite. It's quite simple really. She'll be their good girl. And they'll be her bad boys. ~ [This story is a first draft written by a 13 to 15-year-old girl so it has its fair share of grammar mistakes and plot holes.] Wattys 2015 Talk of the Town Award Second Place Story of 2015 Best Humor and Overall Points of The Fiction Awards 2016 Third in the Writers Awards 2016 Highest Ranks: #1 Humor, #1 Teen Fiction

[Highest rank so far: #46 in short story] "It didn't matter that I was getting all A's on my report card. It didn't matter that I could read a book in less than two days. It didn't matter that I could perfect oil painting techniques. It didn't matter that I had a healthy diet and tried my best to exercise. None of it mattered. Simply because I had one unwanted characteristic called fat." *** This is one girl's story. From her point of view. No exaggerations, no extra, no lies, no holding back this time. When she looks in the mirror she sees nothing but her failure. She hears nothing but the ear shattering sound of opinions from everyone. Everything is targeted to her. Everything is wrong with her. WARNING: This story contains a view of the mind of one insecure female. This focuses on body image and shaming and touches upon topics of eating disorders. "Wow! Sounds like a lot of fun!" he exclaims and my heart dies. "What did you say?" He cannot be serious right now. He is not supposed to think that this is going to be fun. He is supposed laugh in my face then head downstairs to his group of friends and distract every girl in the cafeteria with his freaking face. That is how it's supposed to go. "Yeah, I'll be your date thing." NO. This is not how it's supposed to go. *** Carmen Estrella is NOT a party animal. No, no, no. She'd much rather stay home on her couch or hang out with her friends in a much more "low-key" manner. If she's feeling adventurous, maybe she'll even make it past her driveway. Definitely not interested in the party scene. So when Carmen's family and persistent 70-year-old grandmother insists on her having a Debut party for her 18th birthday, she doesn't hesitate before disagreeing. Unable to back out of the Filipino tradition, Carmen finds herself in a compromising situation of trying to find her Court of Honour and personal Escort when she hasn't spoken to the male population since birth. The plan? Ask Brennan Coleman, the most popular boy at school, get rejected, and fake being heartbroken so that her family will back off. However, when "the plan" doesn't go as planned, and Brennan miraculously agrees to be her date, Carmen finds herself pushed into the world of Filipino chaos, party planning, and handling Brennan Coleman at the same time. Meanwhile, they might even learn a thing or two about what it means to live in a diverse society. TW: some parts dealing with racism and racial slurs, colourism, homophobia and transphobia, mental illnesses (eating disorders and suicide), and acts of violence. READ AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Infinite world of Ella Jane is now a podcast! Tune in now! All episodes live on your favorite podcast apps. The universe has accidental holes but perhaps the unraveling chaos has nothing to do with accidents. Ella Jane, or EJ, isn't one for social gatherings, especially after the recent death of her father. But when her best friend drags her to a party, and the arrogant school jock throws her into the pool, EJ finds herself waking up to his face on a train in a strange new world-Estonasia, a parallel universe that eerily mirrors the paintings of her late father. And the person on the train is not him but a doppelganger... Turns out Estonasia is torn apart by interdimensional, flesh-eating creatures and a power vacuum left by the disappearance of EJ's doppelganger, a missing military general. The Empire desperately needs saving. Pressed by the Crown Princess and Prince to impersonate the missing military general, EJ is forced to step in and help restore peace and save the Empire. At first, EJ rejects this new reality, desperate to escape back to her world. But as she delves deeper into the Empire's conflict, she uncovers a shocking truth: her father's death may be more connected to this world than she ever realized-and she herself is far more entwined with its ancient struggles than she could have ever imagined. And if things weren't complicated enough, an interdimensional romance might be brewing with the person who found her, the apprentice to the royal physicist...
