Ever since his relationship with Junko Enoshima, Nagito Komaeda believed his purpose in life was to be used. Unfortunately because of that, he ends up with a bad reputation at Hope's Peak Academy for being "easy." Nagito lives a tough life in a rough neighborhood. He does terrible in school and ends up with an alcohol problem that he doesn't want to come to terms with. He doesn't have much hope for himself. That is, until he meets Hajime Hinata. For once, he wants to turn his life around and discover what it's like to love and to be loved. Hajime Hinata awakes on an island with A white haired boy standing over him, soon they learn why they are there though the reason quickly changes from a nice school trip to a killing "game". The two must survive the occurring murders and then solve them, though it seems there is more than friendship between them...

Hajime Hinata is on a class trip to Jabberwock Island with ultimate students at Hope's peak academy. Although he's with kids from school and would most likely get along with them...he feels a strange awkwardness when around them. There's a catch though, Hajime isn't really like the others; he doesn't have an ultimate. Because of that, he thinks the others might look down on him. But there is one student that looks down on him the most, Nagito Komaeda: the ultimate lucky student. He believes since Hajime doesn't have a talent, he's not valid like everyone else and decides to put him down for something he can't control. Hajime just wants to be friends with everyone, but because this inconvenience he's very insecure about being around the others, and distances himself. Then Kazuichi Souda and Chiaki Nanami decide to include him since they feel bad, they just want him to be happy. Hajime starts to open up a bit after hanging out with them a lot, maybe with this new confidence he can get that one stubborn student to finally like him. But when he opens his eyes, he finds himself on the beach, with Nagito Komaeda standing over him. It appears the simulation has started again. Jumping from reality to reality, Hajime finds himself a variety of situations, some involving a certain someone. As time passes, he begins to wonder... why him? With help from Chiaki, Usami/Monomi, and others, Hajime works to leave the Neo World Program, but as he does so, he realizes something he never would've expected. What could it be? Read to find out!
