But Silver had yet to enjoy his new future when Blaze tells him his very existence is in jeopardy due to changing a very vital part of his own past to bring him in the world. If he never exists then all his hard work would be undone and due to repeat itself. In order to maintain peace and his life Silver has to travel back in time (again) to bring together his parents (which he never knew) who would have gotten together only in Mephiles' devastation to all. There was a certain police officer after him, that of course is Sonic. Who finds out where one of Shadow's drug factories were, raiding the place but was unlucky to arrest Shadow. This angered Shadow; so he hatched a plan to get revenge. By kidnapping Sonic's girlfriend for a ransom. Amy Rose. However during her captivity, Shadow begins to feel... something for her. Empathy. And love?

Shadow has come back to earth to find it has been taken over by nothing but plant life. And Amy ready to comite suicide!! After saving her they set out to find who else has servived the sudden nature change. They venture to the sunken Angel Island in hopes of finding the dreadlock red Echidna Knuckles. But the island and it's gardian isn't all what it used to be. the island half submerged in the ocean, it's plants have seemed to have a terrifying life of their own, and the gaurdian has seemed to go close to the edge of feral

After having Sonic announce that he would be marrying Sally Acorn Amy fell into a state of depression. She stopped eating and sleeping and just wasn't herself. Even so she hid her pain behind her ALMOST perfectly plastered smile. Still a few friends and acquaintances could tell. One of those people happened to be Shadow the Hedgehog. He was never really close to Amy but once he saw her collapse on the street he took it upon himself to get the love sick hedgehog out of her slump.
