The absurdity of it all gnawed at him, but what grated on his nerves even more was the revelation that many of his former companions were here-and most of them were... actors? Pinching the bridge of his nose, Cale's thoughts spiraled into a storm of irritation. 'That damned God,' he hissed, recalling the divine entity who had saddled him with this infuriating task. 'Find the Hunter, he said. Why the hell do I have to build connections in this absurd world?' His gaze darkened as it flickered to the book resting innocently on the table-a cursed thing bestowed upon him by the same mischievous deity. Its contents mocked him with their cryptic guidance, a labyrinth of clues he had no patience to unravel. "Why am I even stuck with this nonsense?" His anger boiled over, and with a sharp motion, Cale slammed the poor book onto the floor. The once-pristine pages seemed to quiver in protest, but he paid it no heed. "Damn it all!" he growled, his voice echoing through the room, carrying a mix of helpless frustration and fiery determination.
