Book two starts five months after the end of the first one; with Alexander struggling to return to his squadron, and Angela fighting to survive on the front lines without his amazing skills or powerful presence. His second in command, Angela, however, finds herself stuck out on the front lines with the other members of the squadron as she is now forced to somehow take his place as the Squadron Commander of a tired, and depressed outfit that is down two members. Yet, with the U.N.E. threat pushing against NATO forces and threatening to invade Germany, she and her friends must fight on and give Alexander time to return.
