(UPDATED JUNE 30 bc the story took a different direction over the 2 years I've been writing it o-o;) Skephalo and Sap6d fic taking place as a sequel to Midnight Birdsong. Very slowburn and also angsty but kinda hurt/comfort until closer to Chapter 59-ish where it becomes mostly hurt no comfort. George has been depressed for a while since a tragic trauma and he feels more worthless everyday. His best friend Clay doesn't know about anything and but he starts noticing Georges pain. George gets more depressed each day and he starts thinking about ending it all. Just when things seem better, Clay messed up so badly that everything collapses again and George falls back so far that he actually tries ending his life.

ON INDEFINITE HIATUS Major TW: eating disorder/anorexia nervosa, severe body issues George struggles a lot with his self image. After being in a toxic relationship, he's left with horrible anorexia. Nobody else knows about George's suffering behind the scenes, and he'd like to keep it that way. Dream starts to notice that something is off with his best friend. He isn't quite sure what's going on, but he's determined to find out in order to help George with whatever's bothering him. Things escalate, and George's health starts to deteriorate at an alarming rate. Dream just wants to help... but in the end, it'll all be up to George. TW are listed in start of each chapter. Clay's mother, the Queen, refuses to let Clay go out of the castle borders and socialize. Safety risk, she says. As much as clay tries to convince her, the Queen stays persistent with her decision. However, as a reward for Clay's good behavior and grades, the Queen gives him a personal servant, George.

Two of the city's superheroes fight villians and protect the city whilst keeping their true identities a secret. They cannot even know the names of each other, their faces disguised by their magical jewels. Dream is a flirty, cocky and impulsive hero with a sword and a smirk, never failing to cast witty and flirty remarks at his partner. GNotFound is clever and calculated, and can't stand being near the flirty masked hero. Exams, friend groups, crushes, fights and prom should be their main stressors. But George and Clay barely have time to sleep, let alone focus on anything else. None of that stops George from crushing hard on his classmate, but Clay's heart seems to be somewhere else. Perhaps with a certain masked hero he secretly spends nearly every day with. Neither can escape the responsibilities on their shoulders, and they can't tell anyone their problems. The only person that could possibly understand what they are going through, is each other. But they don't even know who that is. Which is Super inconvenient.
