A NetJJ AU set in a 19th century Paris on the edge of massacre, salvation has a name-and so does damnation. Net has everything required to survive: protection, faith, structure. JJ has none of it. What they do have is each other, and that is the one thing neither religion nor society will allow to remain untouched. And in the end, neither escapes what they are to each other. This fic is heavily inspired by the piece "A Huguenot" created by John Everett Millias (1852) and is set in 19th century France. There will be heavy themes of religious guilt/ religious trauma as well as showcase the struggles of being queer during that time period. I tried to make it as historically accurate as possible but forgive me for any mistakes.
