It was Tate and his father against the world after the loss of his mother, but Tate wasn't too pleased with living with him after two months. With alcohol in his veins and lust in his eyes, he gave up hope on everything and everyone. When Tate visited his mother's grave one day, he met a boy around his age, telling the history of the trees in the cemetery. Tate thought the boy, Oakley, was simply eccentric, but something was different, maybe even magical, about him. All Tate ever wanted was to be alone. All Oakley ever wanted was to be alive. *Title used to be The Tree Boy* summary edited by: @-avalynn-

Lake doesn't like parties, he especially doesn't like getting drunk by drinking the alcoholic punch on accident, and he really doesn't enjoy following his friends to go trick or treating and somehow finding himself lost and alone in a graveyard. There is a tall figure sitting calmly on a large gravestone, so dark he appears as a silhouette, his tapered cloak moving in the wind as though suspended in water. Lake walks up to him, made of curiosity, bravery and booze. The tall man stands to tower over him, in his left hand a scythe is raised and the blade glints in the moonlight, darkness reaching out from him like a thick fog. Cold red eyes pin Lake down. "Who disturbs this halfway realm of death? Who dares to approach the harbinger..." But the little human in front of him seems unafraid. His large blue eyes squint as he reaches through the black fog and presses his hand on his chest. "Wow, that's really cool, how do you do that?"

"Aren't you tired of the way you live?" A voice inside of him would ask. "What can i do? I was born to live the life of a killing machine that dances to the command of my master. You think i never tried to run away from my life?" He would reply. That was him. The prodigy, the pride and praise of assassins. His hands were dyed with blood. Blood of men, women, children and the aged. He tried to rinse the blood out of his life but failed miserably. It was like a string attached to him, following him even in his dreams. "I see you are trying to run from your shell." The old woman said to him. "You are a pitiable person. When death welcomes you i pray you be free of your chains." She smiled as her cracked lips left her final breathe and her eyes lost its gleam. "Aaahhhhh!" The sound of painful scream echoed the room as he pressed his sword into his skin. He was ordered to kill the president of the country and bombard his residence. That was his last mission. But instead of leaving the house alive he stayed behind watching his piece of work decorate the walls of the building. He smiled. "It seems this is the only way to attain my own freedom." The sound of exploding bombs thundered into the ears of his comrades. They had realised what the man had done. However death brought him a new life. He was gifted the chance to live in freedom, to redeem himself and live the life he had wished for. But inside the world of a book. Life was all happy and beautiful. Until one unfortunate day he was entangled with the worst situation as he had to present himself before the antagonist of the book. Standing before him he caught his eye and was recruited as one of his personal guard. Moreover the protagonist of the story was very much to his distaste. But nothing could be worst than being objected as a sexual toy by the villain of the book, who had his ways with him right?

[Complete. Wattys 2023 Winner] The Redding takes you if it knows your name. That's the rule that's kept Meg alive --- or awake, rather --- since the night the world went to hell. Nobody knows where the red stuff came from, but it acts like water, it's in the water, and it falls as rain every night. The people it captures drop like puppets with their strings cut. They're asleep, not dead, and you can wake them if you say their name again. But then they just try to kill you. Meg and the other survivors she's befriended think they've found a stable equilibrium, six weeks after the catastrophe began. Nicknames become real names, and Meg knows she's getting better at identifying safe houses. Her crush discovers that Morse code, like writing, is a safe way to say a Sleeper's name. It's the night after learning it that Meg wakes up just as the nightly rain is starting. Raindrops, as it turns out, can make dots and dashes, too. The Redding can talk. And it's telling her to run. ❖❖❖ Complete. Wattys 2023 Winner. A demon decides to leave Hell but is really, really bad at it. Terminal is about Mannie Ávila, an egotistical and gossip-loving, but low-ranked, demon who decides they've had enough of Hell, and heads off- only to stumble upon a shaky, surely doomed plan by the higher ups to pursue peace with Heaven (and the murderous angels who lurk there). Terminal stands on its own, but is part of a series (all written) about mental illness, friendship, self-destruction... and uh, jokes. The urban fantasy 'secret city' world is a little bit silly and doesn't take itself too seriously, while still weaving stories about horrible people trying to change, and often failing. Plus some good ol' political satire to liven things up. First book in a trilogy, followed by Radicle. (radi stands alone despite this being book one) (Features original art of the characters, by me!) FANTASTIC cover design by @summergirl21!

In the day-to-day trenches of high school, it is almost the default-setting to believe we are the main character of our own coming-of-age story. This is not wrong. It's just ours isn't the only story there is. The jocks, the nerds, the cheerleaders, the losers, the stoners, the fangirls, the skaters. Everyone's the realest most important person in existence, all of them, at the same time, first-person narrators to their own stories, stumbling into each other's plot lines, defying the status-quo, catalysts to ups and downs. A deconstruction of all the high school tropes and cliches written over the years, a deep-dive into the psyche of students trying to finish high school while going through irrevocable self-discovery, the most improbable of connections, and the insufferable pains of growing up.

Hunter called himself an archaeologist, but he was a modern day treasure hunter. Tiyana was a scientist devoted to her craft. They were passionate people, wholly devoted to their work. Neither of them had time for love. Neither of them could resist it when it happened. Neither of them knew that the world would need the two of them to save it from a tyrannical pre-historic overlord, his cyborg vampire paramour, and their army of mindless drudges. Dawn of the Epoch is an epic science fiction novel about dark matter, death rays, nuclear warfare, and the Large Hadron Collider, but it is also a fantasy novel about medieval warriors, alchemy, and ancient gods. Dawn of the Epoch blends fantasy with reality, bringing mythology to life today. It is also an apocalyptic thriller spanning the globe from the Pyramids of Egypt to the heart of Africa to the majesty of the Himalayas. It is an epic hybrid-genre story with intense action sequences, magic, mythology, suspenseful plot twists, countless obstacles for the protagonists to overcome, and an utterly Machiavellian supernatural villain. Testimonials: "Probably one of my favorite books I've read to date. Brilliantly complex, adoringly rendered and quizzically intense. A must read and one I plan to revisit, and share!" - Amgwatts, Wattpad Reader "This has to be one of the most original and well written novels I have had the pleasure to read, on Wattpad and in general. It was captivating, interesting, immersive and above all, fantastic. I was left in awe of the beings, history and world you created. It was never dull, dry or predicable and it was a nice change from what seems to be the ever popular teen romance with vampires or werewolves or 'bad boys that are actually romantic good boys.' In the end it was a very pleasant surprise." -IridescentLies, Wattpad Reader http://dawnoftheepoch.weebly.com
