Luck and happenstance are two different things, and there's no telling which is worse. Both of these things bring X to a new kind of hell. After being held as a subject of illegal soul experimentation for years, breaking out, and burning the damned place to the ground, X is finally rescued. Though, he never really thought about what would happen after he escaped. As it turns out, his journey to recovery is a long one.

He had been serving 'the one who takes' for quite some years. Most of the creatures in the batches of new recruits either died or betrayed their king. But Cross would never do that. The god had given him a home, friends, a new purpose, a second chance at life to prove his worth. In exchange Cross served him, stayed by his side, devoted his life to him in such a manner that it almost could be called worshiping. He was a god, afterall. Cross knew he would do anything for Nightmare. He'd kill for him, had killed for him, he'd protect him, even die for him. And if that couldn't be achieved, well, then he'd die with him.

Boredom. Boredom was what lead to all of this. Cross, the admin, had decided that he was bored and wanted to play a game with the people in his multiverse. The game of balance. The game of balance between, positivity, negativity, creation and destruction. It doesn't matter what happens, how many people and monsters get killed or the amount of AU's his game will destroy. In the end, he will still be the hero of this-HIS multiverse.

So this is just a prequel to Loyal Servant. I doubt this will follow much of a cohesive storyline, and the chapters will all probably be much shorter. It is essentially whatever small little things I write at random. Just some background on Cross and Nightmare which might give more insight on their current relationship. Enjoy.
