Desde que cumplió sus 12 años y recibio la carta para entrar al Colegio de Magia y Hechicería Hogwarts, el abuso y maltrato que recibía por parte de sus tíos empeoro. Ir los veranos era una tortura para el. Las tareas, las palabras de odio... Los golpes. Todo eso hacia que Harry solo pensara en abandonar sus sueños y morir. No podía vivir con Sirius y Remus, la posición en la que se encontraban ambos luego de que el ministerio descubriera la licantropía de Remus era bastante complicada, y, por obvias y lamentables razones, Sirius al ser su pareja se vio involucrado en todo el asunto. Harry se quedaba sin esperanza, sabía que no podía irse de esa casa, era menor de edad, y además, por cuantos ahorros que tuviera en Gringotts, no tenía posibilidad de sobrevivir por su cuenta más de 4 o 5 meses. If there's one thing that Draco Malfoy yearns for, it's seeing Harry Potter in pain. How that happens, he doesn't care.
