After the fall of the leaf village and death of the Hokage, the sand helps the leaf rebuild as a way to form an alliance. Three sand shinobi were sent, Kankuro, Temari, and Gaara. The sand siblings were strong and were able to save the leaf nin from the sound while Naruto went off to find Sasuke. Kankuro didn't plan on finding himself in confusion by saving the Inuzuka. He made him go crazy, constantly thinking about Kiba.
