Evelyn Harrington thought she could survive one weekend of wedding chaos-smiling for photos, dodging intrusive questions, and pretending her life was perfectly "on track." But the moment her parents and sister corner her at dinner with the usual So when are you bringing someone home? something in her snaps. So she lies. "I have a girlfriend," Evelyn blurts, fork frozen mid-air. "And she'll be at every wedding thing." Silence. Then her mum blinks. "Who?" Evelyn panics-and says the only name that feels safe. "Leah." Her mum's eyes widen. "As in Leah Williamson? Your teammate? Your best friend?" Now the lie has a face. A famous one. And by the end of the night, Evelyn has a full itinerary of bridal showers, family brunches, dress fittings-and one impossible problem: she has to convince the person who knows her best to play along. Leah agrees, because that's what best friends do. Except their "fake" relationship is a little too believable-hand-holding that lingers, glances that last too long, and a chemistry they've both avoided naming for years. And the closer the wedding gets, the more Evelyn starts to wonder if she didn't just make up a girlfriend... ...but accidentally told the truth out loud.

This woman was tall, around the same height as Leah maybe slightly taller, she was ripped anyone could see that. Leah looked at the badge on this womans shirt. "London fire brigade" "No its not fine I shouldve been looking" leah goes on "Its fine i can withstand some heat off of a...tea?" Leah has learned how to live in public. She knows how to answer questions, how to lead under pressure, how to give enough of herself to satisfy the world without giving too much away. Her private life is exactly that: carefully protected, deliberately unseen. Until one question crosses the line. It isn't crude. It isn't explicit. But it reaches for something that isn't football, and once it's asked, it can't be unheard. In the days that follow, the implication spreads: through articles that read between the lines, through online speculation that treats silence as invitation, through strangers who begin to feel entitled to what she's never offered. What hurts isn't exposure, but erosion. The sense of being watched not for who she is on the pitch, but for who she might be when the cameras are gone. As the tournament unfolds, Leah holds tighter to the life she's kept separate, learning how much strength it takes to say nothing at all, and how lonely it can be to protect something no one else can see.

Romy Davies is 21 and finally living her dream - promoted to Arsenal's first team after years of fighting to be noticed. But stepping up isn't just about talent. It's about surviving the pressure, the expectations, and the unspoken politics inside a squad that already knows who belongs. To help her settle in, the club assigns her a mentor: Leah Williamson, the co-captain. Leah is respected, controlled, and impossible to read - professional to the point of being cold. She doesn't do soft encouragement. She does standards. And when Romy is told she'll also be moving in with Leah for stability during the transition, the situation becomes even more intense. Suddenly Romy isn't just learning first-team football - she's learning Leah: early mornings, quiet routines, late-night recovery sessions, and a home that feels calmer than anything Romy's had in years. What starts as gratitude turns into something Romy can't ignore. A crush. A dangerous one. On the pitch, Romy battles nerves and minutes. Off it, whispers spread - that she's being fast-tracked, that she's "the captain's project," that she hasn't earned her place. One mistake becomes a headline. One bad game feels like a threat to everything. That's when Leah changes. The distance fades, replaced by fierce, steady protection. Leah steps in before Romy can be cornered. Backs her in public. Stays behind after training. Pushes her harder - and cares more than she should. As Romy's feelings deepen and Leah's walls start to crack, the line between mentorship and something else blurs. With their careers, reputation, and team balance on the line, they have to decide: keep it safe... or risk everything for the one thing neither of them planned for.

Noa Queiroz and Leah Williamson have never gotten along. From clipped passes in training to icy silences in the locker room, their rivalry is no secret. They clash on the pitch, clash off it-and if either of them had a choice, they'd stay as far away from each other as possible. But when a PR nightmare threatens Arsenal's image, the club makes a decision neither of them can escape. A public relationship. A united front. And worst of all-moving in together. Suddenly, every glare has a camera on it. Every argument must be rewritten as banter. Every touch carefully staged for the press. What starts as a contract-bound lie turns into something far more dangerous as boundaries blur and resentment gives way to tension neither of them wants to name. Because hating someone is easy. Pretending to love them is harder. And falling for them? That was never part of the deal.
