Varian lives a happy life with his Mother and Father in the village of Old Corona, but one fateful meeting during a festival causes a chain reaction that changes things pretty drastically.

When Varian is arrested after The Battle of Old Corona, he's given a fate he didn't expect and is brought along in chains with Princess Rapunzel on her quest to follow the rocks.
