Long days at the café.
Pages of a journal filled with unfinished manuscripts.
Callista Rayen has always been good at carrying things she never asked for-heavy books, family responsibilities, unfinished stories, and a future she isn't sure she wants. There are days when she feels like she's running out of room for everything she has to carry.
Her last 2 years was supposed to be about surviving harder subjects, keeping her grades up, and figuring out what comes after college. But she never expected it to be the year she would question everything she keeps on escaping from.
There's Ashvin Zyran.
Ashvin has always been her constant-the boy who has stood beside her since Grade 6, the student everyone admires, and the streamer whose midnight lives have become her favorite part of the day.
Between her part-time job at a little café, family responsibilities, and dreams of one day owning a place filled with flowers and books, life often feels louder than she'd like.
Then midnight comes. A short invitation from him pops up on her screen as she memorizes the next topics for her class.
His streams don't fix anything. They simply make the night feel a little quieter, a little warmer, every time she hears his voice. It becomes a routine for her, watching the livestream while she studies.
But somewhere between late-night streams, familiar conversations, and the comfort of having him there, Callista realizes her heart has started to feel something she's always been afraid of.
Love.
Some nights are for studying thick books and chasing the future.
Some nights are meant for streaming.
But maybe some nights are meant for falling in love and finding warmth in knowing you're not alone.
So, which one begins at midnight?
