Sonic had always viewed his super form as something positive; something that gave people hope. A nice trump card in an otherwise losing situation or a nice safety net to keep for the right moment. The emeralds might be hard to track down sometimes but in the end it had always been worth it. So why did he feel a sense of dread when looking at them now? Something was wrong.

Before death, Kaveh's father asked Aranaras one last thing - to look after his son. Little did he know that, forced by his misfortune, Kaveh grew up faster than other kids, hence his childlike sense of wonder never properly developed and he never was able too see them. Alhaitham on the other hand was raised rather comfortably, and even though he was much more intelligent and critical than other kids, he never stopped dreaming and developing his curiosity. It was logical for him to be curious, it meant learning. That's why the miniature leaf-like creatures were always visible to him when wandering around wildlife. But ever since Alhaitham met Kaveh, he was always wondering why Aranaras follow him. When he asked the blonde he always denied their existence and called scribe's assumptions 'schizophrenic'. But was it really the truth?

It's been a few years since their last fight, and a lot had happened within that time. Shadow was now living with the others in their house as well with the poorly attempted 'convincing' of Tom to take him in by sonic that was more accepted because Tom wanted shadow to live somewhere 'safe' than sonic being convincing. With that, the bond between Sonic, Shadow, Tails, and Knuckles, all though a little confusing, was a strong one. Things were starting to go well for them. With egg man gone and no one else currently trying to cause any mischief, sonic and the others were left with time to actually try to settle down and live a normal life like most other people, all though the 4 would never would be 'normal' and they knew that. The hedgehogs decided to try education and did online school for a few years and this year sonic and shadow decided to start college as they are old enough now and have the qualifications (even if sonic did cheat a bit...) what will happen to the two as they enter a new environment with new experiences for them?
