His whole life Alex Gaskarth was sure he was straight, but when the famous singer and guitar players band, All Time Low, head out on the Future Hearts Tour, things become a lot more complicated when he begins developing feelings he doesn't understand for his best friend, Jack Barakat. Jack's been gay and out his entire life, and has been harboring his feelings for the singer since they were younger. But the real question of this toxic mess is will Alex man up and express his feelings for the guitar player?

Alex moves back to Baltimore after having to leave for his brother to go to therapy. But when it only makes him worse they decide to move back. However only Alex and his mum this time. Jack is Alex's old friend but just how much does he remember about Alex? And how does he react when he finds out he's gay too? With marriage looming deeper into the book will it go through? Or will someone have other ideas...

Jack is very confident, and loved to have fun. He took risks, and made people laugh. He was extremely cocky. He loved to control people, and stood up for himself, and others. On the other hand, alex is very shy, and doesn't know what to do when jack puts him on the spot. Jack is determined to make alex his and alex is a bit annoyed. Alex is very nervous and self conscious when it comes to jack. Jack makes him uncomfortable, but alex secretly likes it. And no matter how hard he tries to deny it, to deny that he's gay for jack, he knows deep down he's starting to like him. Will alex go in denial, and reject jack, and hurt him emotionally? Or, will jack take control?

"So you lied to me." Alex stated angrily, hurt flashing in his eyes. I shook my head, I could feel the hot years welling in my eyes. "No...It-It wasn't supposed to be like this." I told him quietly. "Then how was it supposed to be?" He asked me. I cowered a little at the volume of his voice. "Unbelievable." "You hate me now, don't you?" My voice broke on the words. He didn't answer me. "I was afraid this would happen." It took one lie. One party. One kiss. And neither was prepared for this. This is now complete.

Jack works at the music store and Alex is new in town with his girlfriend, Lisa. Both being a 24 years old, nethier of the two have time to waste. When Alex becomes a regular customer and Lisa becomes distant only one thing can happen.

Remember when you were my boat, I was your sea, together we'd float so delicately? Jack Barakat is just your average kid. Bunking off school, stealing exam papers, falling in love. Alex Gaskarth was different. He was a lot different. Sure, he bunked off school too. He even started the stealing exam paper trend. But he didn't fall in love. He just made people fall in love. Jack Barakat was a victim, a victim of Alex's love. The one's who haven't died or started families are all just working on building sites or battling university fees and a boy I used to know made me a promise once, I wonder if he kept it, or if he even remembers it..
