He never came out to his family and even when he made new friends who loved him unconditionally, he still couldn't bring himself to come out. Staying in the closet never felt like a problem once he moved to Florida with Dream, well, until a video collaboration introduced him to a boy that made him question if he could keep hiding. Now, Sapnap has to return to Texas for the first time since his move to Florida for his step-sister's birthday. What's waiting for him when he arrives is going to make keeping his sexuality a secret from his family that much harder.

Dream's aspiration to truly know himself is met with the return of missed chances, and uncertainty. Placed in the dead center of his humid, overwhelming life, he and George are bound to confront the inevitable. "Has it rained?" George asks suddenly. Dream's thoughts snap away from the drifting green and cloudless sky, returning to earth once more. His lips part in silence. George's voice was soft when he'd uttered the words, and for a reason he cannot place, Dream finds himself glancing to the back of Sapnap's head before responding, "Since...summer?"

"You did good." Oh god his accent. "I don't think I've seen you race that well before." Dream looked over to him, raising an eyebrow amidst his prideful grin.
