After having lost her father, her uncle going back to Florida, accidentally killed a young teenage girl and having triggered the werewolf curse, but just before her first full moon, Tyler Lockwood decides to leave Mystic Falls to protect the people she cares about. She moves to Forks, where there is plenty of woods and mountains where people rarely go. A safe place for a newly made werewolf. While in Forks she meet the town vampires ( the Cullens + their pet human, Bella Swan) and the shapeshifters of La Push, where one wolf imprints on Tyler. Caroline Forbes joins her in Forks.
