Taking place after the events of the "I am my Monster" episode, Steven Universe was finally starting to get the help he so desperately needed. With the help of his new therapist, his friends, and family, he slowly starts to get better and feel like his old self again. But as soon as Steven starts to feel like he'll finally be able to take on missions again, the entire universe gets thrown into peril and it's up to him, the Crystal Gems, and Team Aurora to save it. But with the gems having their own sets of underlying personal issues that they don't want to acknowledge, they find themselves having to fight down their own despair to overcome all odds and fight for the right to exist. But as they saw with Steven, one can't just simply ignore their problems forever...

The truth is out. Rose Quartz, the leader of the Crystal Gem rebellion, was Pink Diamond all along. It shocked all of the Gems, but Steven was the most affected. His anger now only grows, seeing that his mother, who he once looked up too, was nothing more than a coward, a murderer, and a liar.
